Does the building’s electrical infrastructure support EV chargers?

EVStart specializes in retrofitting multi-unit residential buildings and regularly encounters buildings of different ages with varying electrical systems. We can assess your building’s capacity and advise you on a solution that meets your needs.

Can we add more chargers as EV adoption grows?

Yes, our team can incorporate supplementary infrastructure capacity in our electrical designs to allow additional EV chargers to be installed in the future with minimal additional work. Using the load management feature of our EV Charger Management Service (EVCMS) can quadruple the number of parking stalls served without increasing capacity demands.

Who will be responsible for charger maintenance and repairs?

If purchased upfront, EV charger owners are responsible for basic EV charger maintenance. EVStart offers a comprehensive operations and management programs for a fee. For Charging as a Service (CaaS) chargers, EVStart handles all upkeep and repairs on chargers.

How do we track usage and bill EV owners?

Our smart chargers come with reporting software to give you full visibility of charger use for both shared and designated chargers. Charger use in designated spots can be linked to a specific unit’s owners EVStart account, and shared chargers can create an additional revenue stream for your condominium.
